iv got a manual 5sp na vl and for some reason after about 25 mins of driving it jumps up and down in revs feels like its gonna stall but really violently and real bangy exhaust note.my oil and oil filter has jst been changed i was thinking it could be mabye to rich or the fuel filter or something.has anyone else had this problem??

Does your speedo needle wave about when your revs go up and down. I had the same problem on my auto VL and noticed the speedo needle bouncing between 60 to 100Ks. The speedo cable was the problem because it was sticking and upset the speed sensor.

id say check ur injectors, flush them or replace them, possibly look at air flow meter if its perhaps gettin stuck or not moving correctly, or throttle body stickidge...i had that problem...fixed and lubricated theses items and all works fine once again.. perfect

Can be one of many things causing that. First thing i would do is a computer codes diognostic test and see what codes come up.
Usual causes for this are Crank angle sensor, airflow meter problema but can also be throttle position switch.
Like i said do a codes test and take the guess work out.

thanks for the help guys i did the diognostics test and all it told me was my aircon didnt work properly witch i already know.i will check the other things said aswell...because i dont really want to pay for a mechanic just yet..

If you got no codes comming up would definatly be looking for bad earth or connection.
Try wiggling air flow meter plug while idling and creank angle plug very common to have problem in these to places, and check engine earth straps.

should replaceing my cas fix it?

yeah replacing it should work just try it anyway its not expensive.but if its only when your turnin it could be a different problem like power steering.is it just jumpin around or are the revs jumpin around real bad aswell.

Sweet mate, i still haven't got around to fixing my problem yet lol. Pisses me off something severe now. How much did it cost to get it replaced? Did you do it yourself or get a mechanic to do it?

i did it myself with some mates
if you get a mechanic it should cost no more than 200 parts ect.

mine did that and it jst got worse and heaps violent, i changed my whole dizzy and it went fine if u got a mate, who has a vl or a spare dizzy try that, even go to the wreakers and ask to borrow one and change it there and see if it fixes ur problem. it fixed mine
