Default Missing badly when idleing with high revs

ok my vl commodore has been missing badly , so i have replaced leads.sparks, rotor arm, dizzy, coil, all new and still misses. I had the timing done professionally which had settled down the missing but since a mechanic took a spark plug off to see if it were working the missing has gone bad agan, wat could be the problem?? any ideas

well only things i can see which you have not mentioned are,
the fuel system- possibly a blocked injector or faulty fuel pressure regulator.
    and the CAS cables.

i have used Mags picture and drawn two big pink arrows, while car is running wiggle one at a time of these plugs, it is common for the cables to brake on the inside and not connect correct, mine was like this and when i moved it my engine would totally die.
if it is either off the cables get a electrician to replace it or if you are able to do it get a good condition one and solder it in.

if not the CAS cable try checking the fuel system side of things, i think there is a way to test the fuel regulator but im not sure, someone else will help yah there hopefully,
as for injectors possibly try a bottle of fuel system treatment in the tank or there might be some other way at the injectors which once again im not aware of.

hope this helps you with your problem and good luck keep us informed how you go with it.

nah that didnt help, and it still misses when i run on gas aswell as petrol so i dont think its a petrol problem, i have got all new leads sparks etc. its kinda annoying cuz i sitting at the lites and i think my car is going to shut off as im idleing thats how bad it is

ahh theres another idea, noticed sensors have not been mentioned,
the tempature and o2 senors affect the way a vl will run as the computer relys on the info its gathering from them to set spark and fuel intake.

the o2 sensor would be a defernat to look at, its on the exhaust manifold near the firewall, screws out.
has three cables running of it.
and the temp sensor is near the thermostat, follow top radiator hose and there should be a plug that is conected to a sensor at the metal housing of the thermostat.
but chance are it wouldnt affect the car to what extent you are discribing.

this dissy you put in is it completely new or did you get a new dissy cap and rotary are put on it? as im still strong thinking it is the CAS.
