I was hopeing for some feedback on the commdore suspension question but got nothing so here we go. I am needing a pic or an explination on what the radius rod is and what it looks like. I think my front right is bent... As it sits 1/2 inch further back then the front left does. The car was in a front end accident before were the guy ran up a gutter and ran over a road sign. What does the radius rod look like? How can you tell if its bent? I read that the radius rod is a common problem for the VL's and the way it was explained sounds like thats my problem. If someone can let me know it would be appreciated, because the one suspension shop in town that knows what they are doing is always busy so they cant put it on the lift to check it out.
Cheers
Shane
Cool, thanks mag. I tried googling radius rods and nothing useful came out of it. I am almost sure its the radius rod thats bent now. I just jacked up the car and checked it out. the whole nut assembly was loose and had play in it. I tightned it up and it didnt have play in it any longer. But it was still istting a bit further back then it should. Again thanks mag, I really appreciated thatm8!
the bushes where the raduis rod goes through the sub frame are probably shaggd as well. if there the original rubber ones replace em with the nolathane ones. this is also a common problem with commodores
