when did vl calais series 2 come out?

what month was the series 2 vl calais released? lookin at buying one but not sure if its series one or series 2.

series two would be about the novmeber mark of 87

if calais just look at the head rest, they should be soild not like series one with a hollow centre.
the dash around the air vents will be the same colour as the the interor not black like series one
the cluster should be made of grey dots for the back ground not blue squares
the glovebox and highrise centre console will have fabric on them not plastic

has series 2 trim and dash and velour on glove box, not sure about console or vents, but tag is 3/87 or 5/87, one of those, i thought series 2 came out around 8/87 or there abouts, it has me confused, maybe the trim has been updated at some stage.

yes i think your right about the 8th month, i recall August as a important month for vls.
well if its the 3/87 it wont be series 2 as my berlina is march 87 and its series 1

if its the orignal engine you can look on the exhaust side of the block, if you see a bolt like thing screwed in it will be a series 2 block so possibly (if orignal motor) a series 2 car

good thinkin, will check the block, might try give holden a call in the morning, see if they can give a definate date for start of series 2. thanks for the advise. got a factory sunroof, thats why im pretty keen on it.
