Default whether running rich from reading exhaust pipe cplour

is there any way of knowing the engine is running rich or lean from looking at the inside back end of the exhaust pipe?
its said the normal colour on unleaded is black

BTW the normal colour using unleaded with any lead replacement additive is dark mottled grey, close to black, the colour of the plugs depends on the additive

Harry forget the exhaust pipe but you can still take a few plugs out and check the colour.
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    Default

another way is just check if the AFM is set to factory standard.
Get a multimeter and flick to ohms. Hook it up to Pin 1 and Pin 6 once AFM is unplugged
You should have a reading of 382 ohms
If not adjust carefully with a flat head screwdriver the screw under the little round cap next to the AFM plug
    Good Luck
