so i assume you are going carby then with the 308, right?
if so what i can figer pritty much just the Kframe out of a v8, crossmember and engine mounts.
wiring wouldnt be that much harder as you will not need the computer side to run it. possibly fuel system will have to be alterd as its efi and your going to carby, but im not posstive

trans wise your looking at a trimatic auto or aussie 4speed or even a 5peed manual if you can source one.

a better route if your dead set on the v8 conversion is the 304i out of the vn-vt range. better econical and power and its fuel injected.
as for the 4:11's it depends on what you drive daily ie: highway or suburbs and the type of trans and engine used. they will help you decied on the gears

i have found these engine mounts: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-97033436.htm
if i use them will i still have to change the k frame???
i am definatly going carb, as i will be going supercharged eventually and im not fond of those under the bonnet superchargers, and im not fussed about fuel economy ether, im most probably stoking the 308 out to a 383,as for gearboxes: if i go auto i would like to go turbo 400 and for a manual would a 4 speed muncy be alright????

aight going from rb30 to 308 is a bit of a downgrade in my opinion but if your going to do it wouldnt be too hard... just get a vl v8 k frame that will already ahve the mounts. you will need a new tranny or if you want to use yours u might need an adaptor and will also need the v8 tailshaft and diff. wiring shoudlnt be too hard and new exhaust. too much effort just turbo your six unbeleivable potential and so many parts oif u no were to look
