VL won't start

Hi all

Here's the problem

It will crank over but we get no spark. We took the coil lead off and when we wind the car over by hand we can hear it "click" and get a spark from the lead. If we do the same by cranking it with the key we get nothing from the coil lead.

Could it be the CAS ???

We are getting fuel (we can also smell it) but no matter what there is no spark from the coil or leads?

Have also replaced the coil

Any help or ideas would be great

Try another coil. It could be the cas. If you have access to another distributor, just swap it over and see if it goes. If it does then it is very likely it is the cas.

yeah coil or cas just get another dizi and chuck it in see if it starts
