replacing (fitting a new) steering lock

as you can see i need to fit a new stearing lock because obviously mine isnt locking I have just bought another vl for parts and it has a good one. I would like to know how hard is it to do it your self?? Has any one done this before. I am normally a trial and error person and if it breaks stiff shit but I would like to be able to change these over with no hassle and still all complete. Any suggestions??

i've forgotten exactly how to do it but you have to revome the barrell......you put the barrell to the on position and then on the outer edge of the aluminuim housing on the side that's facing you you have to poke a hole through the housing, then push through the hole witha flatblade screwdriver and pull the barrell out....then once the barrells out you can take the rest out easily.....

yer i just fixed mine make sure you line it all up before you put new one in its easy to stuff up
