    Default Turbo 400 tranny

    HI Guys,

    Just a couple of questions, what should I be paying for a reconditioned turbo 400? I am thinking of taking the trimatic out of my VL and installing one of these as the engine I am building might be a little too strong for the trimatic. What do you guys reckon?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Turbo 400's use way to much power and are overkill on a 5 litre. You would be heaps better off just getting a stronger trimatic built or use a turbo 350

    Do you reckon the trimatic would be good enough for a 355 stroker?

    $$$$ 4 a full recond jatco.. Don't think it fits V8 but.

    Trimatic built properly should be fine with good converter..
    I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!
