If the VL uses H4 globes, I use Xenon bulbs in my VS. They are rated at 190/150, but only draw 60/50 watts. Not cheap but, $145 including postage, I can supply them.
The best oil is the dearest you can afford, but any good quality 20w50 will be fine. Shell Helix, Castrol GTX2, Valvoline XLD premium, stuff like that.
Topgun leads are probably not the best, people are having trouble with them. IMO, leads are leads are leads. NGK are what I use, 40 000kms now, still going strong.
Ceramic pads are the better ones to use, they produce less noticeable dust, don't get as hot so you don't get brake fade, and they don't make any noise that the human ear can hear.
On a VL, I think Dextron III is fine for power steering fluid.
blue globes are illegal in some states and will get you an on the spot fine so check
I had phillips bright white globes and they made a huge difference, they were around $70 from memory. be careful with the watts because you can melt the fuse rail. also make sure they are correctly aimed and the lenses are clean inside too, it all helps.
