no stop lights

a bloke told me I didnt have any brake lights and it turned out to be the switch, which is mounted under the dash, pushing on the upper brake pedal rod
new one cost $8.50 and was very fiddly to fit, wish I had smaller hands sometimes

since the VL berlina doesnt warn you re brake lights not working, remember that the switch will eventually wear out.....

Hey Harry, I know you're only trying to help, and I'm not against what you're doing, but a lot of what you're posting has been covered. Before posting a solution to something do a search to see if it has been covered. You must be pretty new to cars huh? Keep up the DIY though, it's a good way to learn.

Because if someone runs into the back of you and you had no brake lights then you are in the wrong.

Hey harry was just what I was looking for same for me yesterday lady told me i had no brake lights, fuses, globes were good switch is loose and wobbly
