I had a similar problem to I took off the aac valve and the little plunger was stuck so I pulled it out carefully with pliers and cleaned IT and the chamber sprayed a little silicon spray on the plunger/valve slipped it in and out a few times put it all back together and no more miss under light acceleration I suspect this is common as this happened to both my vl and her vl

AACV auxiliary air control valve is part of the IDLE AIR adjustment (when there is no air flow, vehicle is IDLE) EGR exhaust gas recirculation.
aacv is the little round cylinder with an electrical connection at the rear of the plenium chamber (disconnected when adjusting the idle speed and timing)
inside is a valve (looks like a water tap washer) it gets stuck and clogged with exhaust carbon and needs to be cleaned and lightly lubed (I use a little bit of silicon spray)there are only two screws then remove slowly so as not to lose the spring inside.
