Gday i've just started to install audio into my car but i am having troubles with heavy rattles from the boot, bumpers, lisence plates and such. What can i use to hold them in place and stop the rattles.
Have a read through this Subs wreck vl boots??? - calaisturbo.com.au
Hello,
Try pumping Liquid nails into the holes of the boot lid, I did that to mine and once its dry it will brace the boot lid once again, and if your still not satisfied get Dynamat Extreme, and cover your boot lid with that and that will stop any rattling from the boot lid.
As for the license plate, take it off put a layer of Dynamat on there, then put and extra 2 screws through your license plate.
Once again, if u can be bothered take off your rattling bumper/s and cover them up with dynamat as well from the inside. This will make the bumper more dense and less prone to vibration.
Make sure you make a VERY clean surface before applying the dynamat.
Give it a shot![]()
why not using a couple of old pillows in the bootlid rails. i did that to my mates vl, my vp wagon and my brothers vr sedan and now there is not more rattles.
cut out a piece of carpet the same size as your number plate unscrew your number plate put the carpet there flufy side facing the car screw number plate back on and now you have no rattles..
