    Default na vl turbo questions....

ok Im doin an na conversion to turbo, got turbo injectors, t3 turbo and manifolds..... to run standard boost can I use the standard ecu and fuel pump? been told I can adjust the fuel damper to allow more fuel without upgrading fuel pump....anyone know if this is correct? and are the na and turbo dizzy the same? thanks

na and turbo dizzy are the same!
standard ecu no as there's no knock sensor and injector pulses are a different duration.
    fuel pump is ok.
Damper for increase don't know about that..
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

    it will run ok yes.

the best way to do it is get your n/a computer remaped for turbo injectors (a guy on r31skylineclub does them) that way you dont have to run a knock sensor

if you do use a turbo computer you need to hook up the knock sensor or is acts as the motor is detonating and drops the timing off so you have bugger all power

If you run the turbo injectors with standard ECU will make it to rich and if you keep the na ones in it will be ok but timing will have to be retarded.

So get the turbo ecu or get 1 of the remapped ECU's as suggested by dope pipe
I was confused now I'm just not so sure!!

Yeah turbo injectors are a 2 stage item i.e. when on boost more fuel is added to cool the pistons as there was no factory intercooler. when off boost they will be the same as a normal na injector. So perhaps if you ran an intercooler and stock boost the boost stage would not be necessary as the charge air is cooled from the intercooler and such a rich mixture would not be required (so much).

    From the farken manual LOL

Nissan designed the system to run rich under loaded boost conditions to cool the pistons. Its a fact, another fact is that they are 2 stage injectors.
