    Default Oil pressure gauge woes

Fitted a Calais dash to the old poverty pak wagon, changed the oil pressure swtich for a gauge type sender, turned ignition on and oil pressure gauge went straight across to maximum [engine not running] started engine, everything else worked, tacho volts fuel temp. oil gauge remained at maximum. Stopped engine removed lead from sender, Guage still went to max when ignition turned on. Ended up removing dash and putting original back, Any suggestions please??

Thanx gang! had a good look at the little sticker on the back of the dash, it shows the guage sender at terminal 2 and the oil light sender at something like 14. Will refit dash and try connecting the lead from T2 to the sender. Fingers crossed John
