Ok. Cool. In a stock factory turbo setup (all fully rebuilt 5000km ago however) what do you reckon would be the highest you could safely push the boost to?
    Preferably without a tune...
dodgy yes but I'm in the process of aquiring a VLT Calais and budget is gonna be tight till i can sell off my VN... so yeah, hoping i can just whack a boost controller in there and up it a little (has an intercooler)

Gosh, I really don't know a huge amount about turbos

    Umm... yeah... Thanks

Cool. Haha the lad the guy im buying it off bought it from had the car running 12psi stock (well, he had an intercooler at least). Soon after it changed hands the engine seized up and got a full rebuild. He says he got strengthened internals at the same time.... I don't know if i wanna trust that though...

Anyway, assuming the engine is stock spec, with a tune whats the factory turbo good for? I honestly would like to push 175-200rwkw one day in the probably distant future (can't see much need for anything higher then that)

Any pointers as to what i'd need for that? Or should i be using the search button a lot more....

been helping a mate turbo he's stock s2 engine with worn rings we were running 14psi no cooler and smashed the piston #6... lets lots of oil through now lol...

anyway if that engine seized up.. and got rebuilt .. they would of had new pistons and rings so if ur running the cooler still u can run safely 15psi i'd say u'd be pushing ur 200 there.
if he got strong internals u could run more.. but like u say u dont know for sure but 15 is the go!

Is the car Auto or Manual?

If it is Auto, may I recommend a large trans cooler for it.
