HI
my son has pulled out all the plastic dashboard components and sprayed them with vinyl dye to customise. Unfortunately he never numbered the parts as he took them out and now he can't remember which order to replace them in. Has anyone ever done this or can offer any advice. Any constructive advice would be very welcome.
That's quite an effort on his behalf, work backwards obviously, start with the very top dash piece, the longest biggest piece. After that you should be able to work your way back.
I think once the biggest piece is on, you have three other large pieces that go in, Glovebox, glovebox surround, and steering column section.
I'm a bit vague sorry, I haven't touched my interior since I put it back together months and months ago. I'll find a picture and help.
Okay I've included 2 pictures, 2nd is completed, 1st is not so complete.
You can see in number 1 the top piece, the speaker grills on the top right and top left can go on at the end, they're not important.
The radio surround, square piece that goes around the steering column would be next, and the piece that goes around your dash cluster can go on at the end aswell.
Once the stereo surround piece is in, work your way to the glovebox surround, glovebox. And then put the bottom pieces on.
I hope you can make sense out of my attempt at explaining. It's hard to explain, but not that hard to do, good luck.
P.s. I wasn't finished painting, I just wanted things back together.
