??? RB30 manual gearbox ???

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a turbo 5 speed mx7 gearbox to a standard 5 speed gearbox?

This is the one i'm looking at and i don't know if it's a turbo box or not, it was off a factory turbo motor though.

The factory turbo had the mx7 as the standard gearbox. It has slightly shorter ratios and is a lot stronger.

On the matter of telling the difference between the two... well i have no idea...

Looks like a non turbo box, just seems too thin. Mind you it's been a while and I could be wrong.

does it matter if the input shaft is a bit rusty? some guy wants bout 300 for a 'turbo' box that looks just like the one in the first post, is the general consensus that its a turbo box?

i usually tell a turbo box apart from a standard box but looking at the speedo drive.

The turbo speedo drive is a rightangle from the gearbox and the standard box has the speed drive inside
