    What is the correct colour for the grey bumpers and side panels fitted to the Executive VLs? John

    When i bought paint for mine, the guy matched it up as being "MX Grey" i know that the silver is called "Asteroid Silver"

    how do u paint em? jus sand it down and prime it?
    or do u have to get some penetrol onto it?

    i painted mine and all i did was sanded them down not much just enough to give it a ruff suface and then prime them and then paint. turned out alot better than exspected..

    sorry took so long been busy and had not much time to get on the net.

    colour is MX GREY and the code for it is 4H017 on the PPG deltron colour system. was used from 1986 to 1991

    yes colours are mx grey ( dark grey) and asteroid silver (much brighter) imo go the asteroid makes ure car stand out way more

    true about your opinion right,
    my thoughts are that astroid silver only suits if you paint the complete bottom half of the car and mx grey only suits for painting the moulds and bars.
    mx is to dark to paint the complete bottom and astroid just on moulds and bars looks cheap and nasty like a can job

    Many thanx especially to the young apprentice, [vl berlina 5 speed]you took the time to check this out for me. This old bloke certainly appreciates your help. I'll probably go the MX as the wagon is the light metallic green [faded] and I just want to clean up the scuff marks on the plastics. John.
