G'day guys,

I have a problem with my motor (N/A RB30) where occasionally it runs fine but other times it misfires and carries on like a b*tch.

it usually is firing all cylinders under power

we have replaced the fuel pressure regulator.

we have changed sparks plug several times because it usually provides some relief. (then again one time it did nothing)

It is unlikely to water damage on the computer because we have shielded it. (but I'm planning on trying to try someone else's) we did reset the computer today but only provided temporary relief.

It isn't timing because we have tried multiple timings with different fuels.

possibly air flow meter?

any other ideas?

i tried to giving as much info as possible but i can't stress how intermittent the problem is.

the engine is receiving too much fuel though, not too little

Check all of your vaccuum hoses to see if any are perished or split. If there is no vaccuum to the fuel pressure regulator the fuel pressure will increase making it run rich.
