Mate of mine has a VL and to pass roadworthy they reckon that the windscreen wipers squeal when running, and that the rear tail light needs to be replaced due to a crack.
I have tried to take out the left rear light assembly but there it won't seem to come apart from the centre panel on the rear. Anyone got any ideas how to get this off without removing the bumper?
The wipers were replaced this morning with brand new ones from Autobarn, but the problem is still there and they have a high pitch squeal even when a bucket of water is thrown over the windscreen.
Any ideas on how to fix these two issues would be greatly appreciated.
theres 2 bolts on the inside of the boot for the garnish undo them + the other tail light and it all comes off, then undo the garnish from the tail light and put the new tail light on then put it all back together
its not rocket surgery
also is the squal coming from the whippers or the whiper motor?
it sounds like a metal or plastic part of the wiper arm is touching the glass, look closely as they go back and fourth, only the wiper blades should be touching the glass
Nobody wants to play with me
How are squealing wiper blades a concern for a roadworthy safety wise, unless metal is scrapping the glass, news to me. Martin
Could try tensioning off wiper arms,by bending slightly.
