howdy yall. i am the lucky owner of a 1988 vl gts rb30 . now the curent prolem i have it that both high and low beams are on the same switch, like when high beam is on both lights are and when high beam off no lights. it is very strange to me and it is starting to **** me off. i have the melted fuse rail symdrome also could that be a factor? any help would be appretiated. cheers
park and low beam are the twist switch on the end of the indicator stalk.
high beam is activated when the indicator switch is pulled toward the steering wheel and will only stay on when the low beam is on.
they are seperate switches.
Nobody wants to play with me
each headlight should have a double filament globe that gives either high or low but not both together
also a single filament globe that gives high only
also a parking lamp globe
a common problem is the silvering peeling off the reflector due to heat
it means you have a melted fuse rail. you can fix the problem by connecting the high beam to a single fuse and the low beam to a seperste fuse also. i found that with my vl, and my bro fixed it like that as he is auto elec
