Its not realistic, VLs are 20 years old and when you tire of it, will be very difficult to sell

A 5 litre VL will always sell easier than a non turbo 3 litre VL.

If you are going to do this have a think about changing the car you want to put it in. VL's don't have much value now/yet even the turbos are down in price lately. But you can still get VH SLE's for a couple grand and with a injected 5 litre they are fetching 10 grand

i'm not going to talk you out of it - but my mates brother just put a 5L into his VL... took him about 10 months becuase there were so many problems he encountered which weren't thought of in the planning stages. Best way to do it, is find someone who has already done it and ask what you need and what major problems can be avoided by simple and effective planning

Thanks for the advice guys, i dont care about what value itll be worth in a few years time, i just want to put a 5ltr injected in it because its my dream! but i do understand where you guys are coming from but hey if need be ill just put the original gear back in it if means more value but i doubt id be selling it any time soon as its my dream and i know how theres always unforeseen delimas, ive had my fare share, when working on cars but its a learning curve and half the fun.....:S ive also got plenty of mates who are mechanics and have done plenty of conversions themselves who have offered to give me a hand so i should be ok with it all. now its just a case of time and money ha! Cheers guys!
