Hi there all, I have bought the gearbox for the turbo, next on the ajenda is a diff centre.....(what sort should I go for...?)
Also is the tailshaft from the n/a the same as the turbo?
I will also be running straight gas........so has anyone done a setup like this before running either dual fuel or straight gas??
Thanx for the help so far guys..........
Cheers
Lets work as a TEAM and do it MY WAY!!
go buy a vlt diff dont bother with messing around with the n/a diff as it only has 25 spline axles as where the vlt diff has 28 spline axles ....and both have the same gear ratio 3:45
tail shaft is the same im pretty sure aswell
look up a vl commodore called GAS747 he runs straight gas and is in the low 11s i think

[GMJ37] Another Commodore .... another dollar ....
I have a V8 rear end for sale. same size axles as the turbo rear end. just different diff ratio. i was going to put a diff centre out of a falcon in it and they are 3.7 ratio. it's in sydney if you want to buy it.
as others have said
VLT dif will see you safely through. just get it reshimmed and what not if its in bad shape.
and dont even bother with dual fuel lol no good!
gas can definatly be done and its been proven. it may take a lil more boost to get there but its not impossible
will need a tank with twin outlets (or 2 tanks or a single tank with a outlet mod) with twin gas lines and twin modified B2 converters to a gas research throttle body, at least 440cfm in size
thats it for the gas system!
which is what ill be using but ive got a 480cfm t/b![]()
oh and theres also plenty of people pushing upto 20psi through the stock n/a bottom end on a safe tune, so that can also be done![]()
