well i took it to the mechanic a few days earlier and i got my fuel filter fixed and system flushed as i was havng a problem with that and he said to me i had a nosie coming from my pistons, like when your lifters go but alot louder he said to have a think about it and it would probably need to be replaced soon. so i though ok then. but over the couple of days ive had it back it has got louder and louder and louder, untill now it is that bad that it sounds like my engine is full of loose nuts and bolts just getting tossed around even when it is just ideling.. any idea on what it could be ?? to me it sounds ****ed...

u could even rebuild the engine to run lower comp. and put in a better bottom end to handle boost so when ya get more dollars u can bolt a turbo setup straight on. you'll lose a bit of power in the short term but will all b worth it when get a turbo bolted up?????

well im looking to spend around 1.5 to 2k on the rebuild and then around the same on the turbo.. but i was thinking of getting the rebuild done then being able to drive her arouond while saving up for the turbo.

it'll still drive fine the RB30 runs relatively low compression standard so dropping it slightly won't make any drastic changes. u should end up saving some money as u won't have to rebuild the bottom end again when u get around to going turbo and it also means u can run higher boost without blowing your bottom end to pieces

I agree with the rest of the boys, rebuild a strong low comp engine now, then when the bank account looks a bit healthier again go with your turbo conversion. Cheers, Heefers
