    Default putting in a turbo

    Guys.. a bit of a dumb question but here goes... I have recently bought a stock VL 3.0 Litre SL (in very nice condition though), and I'm considering putting in a turbo when the time is right. Just a couple of questions...

    1. How much should I spend on an average turbo?
    2. What else do I need to put in along with a turbo?
    3. What kind do I need to look for?

    I know these questions may make me look a bit stupid... I've come from more of a vk 308 background and I never thought I would get a VL but here I am.

    oh by the way- the car already has extractors, a K&N air filter and a new exhaust but other than that it's pretty much stock.

    i would spend no more than 1800 try calais turbo they have conversion kits on there all the time

    the standerd turbo set up can be found on ebay or calaisturbo for as little as $1000, but it vaires on the condition

    simple as tap oil/water lines if s1 block and bolt up

    Have a search on calaisturbo, there's a thread dedicated to the conversion. Go for it.

    exzaust manifold $200
    t3 turbo stock $400
    x over pipe $50 or cooler for around $300
    dump pipe $80
    oil and water lines $150
    intake pipeing $40
    basic gaskets to bolt everything up $50
    thats the basics u need to run
    i would also invest in

    vlt comp $200
    vlt injectors $250

    there rough prices that ive sold and bought things for and should get u off the ground

    when buying ya turbo look for shaft play and make sure the compressor wheel isnt damages or chipped and stuff like that

    To just bolt a standard vlt setup to an series 2 N/A and still run high compression you will need
    *t3 turbo with oil and water lines
    *turbo exhaust manifold
    *intercooler and piping
    *vlt ecu
    *vlt injecters
    *dump pipe and down pipe

    I just bought
    *t3 turbo with oil and water lines
    *crossover pipe
    *exhaust manifold
    *down and dump pipe
    *2 injectors
    *vlt crow cam
    For $600

    Still need to find vlt injecters, vlt computer and I am going to get a gktech no holes intercooler kit. It should all cost less then $1500 all up. But then the gearbox will blow up so I will be seeking a mx7 transmission soon.
