vl 5.0 litre calais overheatin

bought a 5.0 vl calais a week ago and its not to bad to drive around town but as soon as you sit on 80kms on the highway it starts heating up?
wat are these temp gauges meant to sit on normally?
any ideas why it heating up?
ive flushed the radiator with techtaloy mukout. replaced thermostat. checked timing. radiator cap.

it may be possible to get a cooking thermometer of the type that can be put into water and carefully remove the radiator cap when hot, using some cloth over it, and than check the water temp

the sender or gauge may be faulty

hey how u goin i had a prob like that with mine and all it was is a plastic cover that sits over the top of the radiator it keeps the hot air off you might not have one...
