Question seats out of a VX into VL

    Hey there guys

I'm thinking about putting seats out of a VX or VY into my VL both front and rear and i'd like to know how and what sort of modfications roughly will be required to makem fit ? I think they look neat and feel way comfortable compared to the old flat VL ones .

I think the VL is 1 and a half inches narrower than later models but I dont know how this translates to interior width
for some states a design engineers certificate is needed to make it legal

Cheers for that mate . I'l have to try and track down a set and play with them a bit and see how it goes . My cousin had a set of buckets out of a 98 model clubsport ( i think ? ) fitted to his VC and wid the custom interior they looked mad so not to be out done i thought i'd do the same and use a set out of a VX or VY commodore .

I understand what u mean but i'd still like to retain the orignal VL rails and have them fitted to the VY seats coz i don't realy wanna start drilling holes and cutting up the floor pan of me car to adapt the rails used in the VY. Anyways thanx for the repply mate i'm gunna get a set when i can find a set and play around with them til i get them fitted and working propper then see a engineer to get it approved and mod plated . I'l keep ya's posted with my progres lol .

be mindfull of the air bag's
Research has shown that men usually sleep on the right side of the bed.
Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

My cousin put vn seats into a vk and the rear seat was a bit wide when youd open the read doors they would spring open and you had to give them a lil extra push to close

Hmmm so does anybody know if the rear seat out of a vy would be similer width as the VN ? Not that i'm to worried about it as i'm not to sure what to do with the rear bench seat in my VL at this point . The buckets in the front are my main concern coz the standard ones look farked lol
