For some reason the radio runs off the ign so i thinking something fishy going on with it is there suppose to be a fuse panel to the right of the steering wheel and down a bit as there are 3 plugs there but no fuse panel.....

the fuse box assy on a VL is out under the bonnet on the LHS of the car,if tgere is no acc behind the ign switch there is a problem with the switch, are you using a test light to check it ?

Test light and multimeter to test ok so there may be a fault with the ign swtich ok....

Any idea what all the plugs under the steering wheel do in the little removable panel casue this panel has a fuse diagram on the back of it...

Also another funny thing happened today with it no keys in the ign and the fan works on all 4 settings.,..

they all have that diagram on there, maybe holden used up earlier panels,i cant remember what the plugs are under there been to long since i have worked on one, from memory the acc wire will be brown i think

Just read the bit underneath about the air con workin wifout the keys in,this is normally the result of a crook ign switch or out of adjustment,or worst case scenario the barrel rack and pinion might be all worn out.

    hey there peanutz,

What sort of Turbo Timer is it. A pic would probably help....

Oh and I am sure you are aware of this but the accessories on a VL is with the key pulled backwards in the barrel not forwards (ignition).

The Brown wire on the loom is the accessory wire....

Let me know if you need anymore help

    cheers
