so i done an engine change on my vg ute. it now houses a rb25det. anyways the skline runs a tx valve and mine doesnt. wondering whats easiest to get ac going?? thinkin using vl compresser?? thoughts
all commodore a/c systems run a TX valve.
if it will fit up, run the vl compressor - should work the same.
not all commodores run a tx valve, i believe you will find the vg ute is the same as a vn and runs an orifice tube system and accumulator. you should be able to keep all the original air con bits and just need to have custom lines made for the skyline compressor to connect to the commodore condensor and accumulator.
yeah it runs a orifice tube and accumulator system. only problem i was wonderin about is, is there any diffences in the compressers in reguards to a tx vs a orifice tube system or is a compresser just a compresser??
i believe the vg 3.8lt used a turbo rotary type compressor similar to a vl. tr070 sounds familiar. the skyline would use a normal piston type i believe. i have seen both styles of compressor used on both styles of system with no issues either way.
sweet as, ill see how it goes. :-]
