help, my windscreen wippers dont work

hi all, only new to this forum and was wondering if i could get some advice about my wippers on my vl that i just bought, its a 5spd na 6cylinder, paid $800 with rego and new tyres and goes real well, its just a work bus.

now the problem is the wippers dont work when you use the switch to turn them on but they work if i run power from the battery straight to the wipper motor, ive tried 2 new wipper switches, one known to be working so its not the switch, its somthing to do with the wiring between the switch and the wipper motor. is there a relay under the dash for the wippers? or an earth in the dash for the wippers? have checked the fuse and thats all good.
any help would be great as i realy need my wippers to work, thanks all

There is a relay under the dash, I replaced mine only a few months ago. It was corroded inside.

thanks for the reply mate. where abouts under the dash would i find this relay? this is my first commodore so im not real familiar with it.

It should be almost directly below the steering wheel, a black rectangular box about 7cm long.

Yeah, that is where it is supposed to be.

If this thing is behind the driver side kick panel, what is the other 7cm longish thing directly below the streering wheel with a heap of cables going into it.

hey all, thaught id add this for any1 else that has this problem. the wiper control module is the black box right infront of the bonnet release lever, dont need to remove kick pannel to get to it. this box also controls the brake lights so if your wipers dont work and this is the problem leave it conected until you get another one or ya brake lights wont work and shop arround if your looking for one, one wrecker wanted $55 and the next place wanted $16.50
