Default who's got the factory radio in there vl?

just a question about the standard radio /cassete player used in the vl.

after having 2 cd players blow up on me ive decided to put the stanard radio back in . however even with it switched off the led that that shows what band is selected stays on. is that normal.
the germans designed it, the aussies built it, the japs got it moving and the wogs got it dosing...

    Hi,

The Casette / Radio in mine is original, the radio works but the casette player doesn't.

But when I turn the radio off it has no lights or LED on at all.

I just went outside (dark) to check for you.

    Deffinitely no LED is on.

My Radio has never been taken out or tampered with as it's a 2 car owner; my Father In Law and Me.

you may be getting power from the wrong source... try a different wire that will supply power only when ignition is on....

are you running straight from battery?
