Horn won't stop

I replaced my ignition barrel, everything works ok except that the horn won't operate normally.

Even with the horn pad removed and disconnected from the electrical connector (single lead) the horn just won't stop sounding.

Any ideas? Have I put the ignition barrel in wrong?

Problem fixed; how or why I just don't know??
