the vl's front end overhaul

anywho

i started pullin my front end apart. for no real reason. i just wanted to clean it all up. ended up turnin into a massive overahaull.

i took the front struts out,controls arms the lot. i got my x member powder coated along with the struts radius arms and sway bar . replaced bushes etc mates think iam crazy for doin it but it looks so good.allso got a new raditorand hoses to go in soon.anyway heres sum pics of wats ive done

yer i love the calais front. wen i got it ,it just so happend to be the right colour..paint is a bit scratched and is slightly a diifrent colour.but its better then havin a red one or sumfin.

heres a few pics of my progress. all the front k frame is in along with the control arms ,radius arms and struts. allso got the vl turbo brake setup on...just gota put the swaybar in tomoro and thats a bout her done...

How do you find the Aluminium radiator? (Does it run cooler than copper core?)

I nearly bought one for my VL but ended up with the standard brass and copper.

aluminium raditor is from autobahn.cost 260.i allso got sum gates radiator hoses that look the part..havnt actually put the radiator in yet,so unsure as to how it will affect temp?? the original in atm has a slight leak.

when i get the car back from the panel beaters ill put it in and let u know how it goes..

strut brace is from pedders.cost 250..quallity is really good tho.and sets the engine bay off nicely i rekon..

front end took me 2 solid weekends to do..results speak for themselves but..
