Hey guys, new member, new road user, and new owner of a 87 Berlina.
I have a dilemma though. The VL is older than me, so obviously has problems such as the brakes need to be pushed hard for the car to stop, central locking is stuffed, missing window knob thing, oil guage doesn't work, fuel gauge seems faulty, bit of rust on the boot, ignition key and door keys need changing (for obvious reasons) and the engine may need more balls and replacements.

The VL has 250,000km and was given to me by my cousin for free. He moved to Europe and used to be a mechanic.

The dilemma is, should I fix all the little problems, then add new rims, extractors/exhaust, maybe cold air intake, alarm/immobiliser and other small stuff OR do I just wait abit and buy a VS or VX and just add new rims extractors/exhaust and stuff.

P.S - I'm abit of a noob with cars. I know the basics of the basics of the mechanical parts of a car.
Thanks
