Is there any point to having the coolant level sensor/warning light hooked up? The point that the sensorplugs into the radiator is like 15cm below the top and im thinking my engine will be pretty screwed if it drops down that low anyway...
thoughts? (i cut it and forgot to hook it up again when routing the headlamp loom under the guard after relocating the fusebox and would like to justify not hooking it up again lol)
this I think is only fitted to the calais, if it were connected to a buzzer it would be a good thing as lights take time to be seen, especially in the daytime, but it wouldnt warn of a steamtrap in the upper water passages
try finding a workshop manual at your library
end of the day its your choice.
would you want to wait till all the coolants gone to discovered its got a problem or would you rather know before a blown head gasket leads to a cracked/warped head?
i personally would wire it back up, an hour of wiring is easyer and quicker then fixing a head![]()
