Default Sedan springs in a wagon?

according to "Greg" the sedan has 14mm higher rear springs than the wagon (uncompressed)

so, can I use lowered sedan kingsprings in the wagon, which would apparently lower the sedan around 30mm or so.

I'm dont care if the car is lowered or not, I just want stiffer springs!

I assume the kingspring "sports" are stiffer than standard?

they should be stiffer than the old stock ones, but the extra weight of a wagon usually makes for a softer ride again.

ive got vn sedan springs in my vn wagon, and they fit fine.

unless the old ones are ridiculously stuffed, id just get wagon springs to begin with.

well, supercheap have a pair of rear sedan springs for $135, its not that cheap, but its convenient haha

i dont want the wagon too low, as I often carry stuff, but I want it stiffer.

currently, one side is sitting 15mm higher than the other! I dunno whats going on there! haha

might be missing a rubber spring pad, or ones chewed out.

you can buy standard height king springs aswell. we sell them retail about $160 a pair from memory(autobarn). just get supercheap to order some in and match the price. should only take a day or 2 to get in.

carrying stuff with sedan springs, will make it sag easier aswell, which means lower when full.

I dont think it is a worn/missing rubber, I think it may have a sedan spring in one side, and a wagon in the other haha

how high is standard height though? anyone got pics? My wagon has never sat at standard height, haha.

anyone got any second hand springs for sale?

    hey mate

i put my old standard vl sedan springs in the rear of the wagon on the weekend..spring i took out were solid as..and sat really high..

the sedan springs(with no insulator's installed) lowered it about 2 inches and gave a heap softer ride..still aint low enuff tho..so i might take a coil or two out..
the germans designed it, the aussies built it, the japs got it moving and the wogs got it dosing...

That doesn't sound right as wagons are heavier than sedans.
I used Lovells seadn lowered sprigs in my VS wagon and they were the same height unsprung as the Kings SSL's I removed because they were just too low for my driveway.
The seadn springs have 1 and 1/2 less coils than the kings ultra lows and the final height is about half way between Kings super low and ultra lows.

the sedan springs are higher uncompresed because they are softer. I'm going to order some proper springs anyway

    thanks for that.

I'm quite sure my standard springs are standard, even though kingsprings is trying to tell me otherwise, seeing as their springs are softer than standard

I'll see what they say, I've told them, that I've had it confirmed that my original springs are in fact standard.
