Red face How to find out if ORIGINAL or not???

Hi i was wondering if someone can please help me???

My friend and i are going to have a look at a VL Calais Wagon tomorrow and i want to know how we can tell if its original or if its a fake so to speak???

We were told to be carefull cause it could be just the Calais front???

Is there any numbers on the car that can tell us if its real???

    Please let me know asap.

    Thanks

Rear seat headrests? They'd be kind of hard to get hold of for making a replica.

if someone went to the trouble of putting a whole calais front end on a vl wagon don't you think they would change the interior to?

Yuu didn't read what i said. REAR head rests. Sedan seats don't fit wagon without modding, and most people don't usually go to that sort of trouble, usually just the exterior look. Which means genuine calais rear seat is fairly hard to come by.

Close, but in the model code, look for A9Y, Calais Wagon

I have rear head rests in my Bt1.

I just took them out of the front seats when I replaced them.

Then you'd know how difficult they are to fit. Wagon seats don't come with the slots to put them in.

Like i said, it would be very rare finding someone who has made a replica with the headrests.

as SL/ENUT has said, chekc for A9Y plus some other quite checks:

does it have the usual calais options?
    cruise control
    electric windows
    central locking
    calais dash badge
calais door trims/seat material.... etc etc

just looked at the post date... did they end up having a look? only one post by the thread starter???
