VN auto has no drive

My mates VN has no drive after about 10 kms driving, it just goes nowhere, after the auto cools we can get another 5-6 kms then no drive again!!
It goes beautiful until then though,
The auto was overhauled two years ago but not installed in a car till now,
It seems to be temp related some how

Has anyone else had this problem?

Any bright ideas?

check the fluid level, failing that, take it back to whoever built it

hnaces are the transmission oil is completely stuffed, when heated up youll find it loses its grip.

maybe the clutch pack was not replaced was it rebuilt by a ruputable builder?
