gday,
i have just got a stock 1986 vl commodore. i only want it as a daily driver but i also want it to go pretty quick... the modifications have to be not to noticable aswell. the body needs some work but i am not to worried about that at the minute. i mainly want to work on the engine and running gear for the time being. does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?? also does anyone know were i would be able to pick up a set of extractors for it? would a bigger induction do much for it?
cheers
Not really worth modding the N/A rb30. You could have it turbo charged for $800-1500. But if your not keen on that I would probably go 2 1/4 exhuast, extractors and maybe advance the timing.

drop an rb25de or rb25det into her, much more potential than the rb30e slug.
well for not noticable mods you could go with a chip/cam package but they are not cheap and not worth it imho u could get an rb25 in there for that kind of money. I made 104.6rwkw from my na 6 vl with boltons only (extractors/exhaust, hi flow panel filter, custom intake pipe)=these mods are loud and noticable, but i think mines a bit of a freak.
with a good engine it will do 200 kph and accelerate well, that should be enough for you
