i'm just about to get my L's i have a old holden vl. i got a set of holden monaro cv8 rims and i was about to put them on untill i found out it is illegal to put 18''s on vl's is this true. i live in brisbane if that helps

It is legal to put 18's on a VL in Brisbane, so yes you can do it.

Just make sure the overall rolling diameter remains within 15mm along with correct load and speed ratings on the tyres.
