fuel gauge not working

Hey guys my brother just bought a vl and the only thing really wrong with it is the fuel gauge dosnt show how much fuel is in the tank which is a bitch but his only on his L's so hed like to get it fixed, Where would i go to get this sort of thing foxed and would it be pricey?

if they cant solve it quick yeah it will be pricey, if there or who is on there a game itll be cheap.

though most of the time it will be pricey..

try it yourself with a repair and service guide with a mulitmeter its a handy tool for electrics.

could be faulty contacts or earthing at fuel guage, remove instrument cluster on dash,drivers side,theres a prong brass spring contact in behind guage that is renown to cause problems ,just needs cleaned and squeezed together a bit.On how to do this is in the How To in this forum.Regards Martin
