VL front lower control arm ball/pivot joint Question.

I was just wondering if the front lower control arm ball/pivot joint nut is the same size/thread as a VN/VP?
And also drivers has a hole through the thread and passenger doesn't...what was stock at the time? Split pin or Nylon lock type for a non whole ball joint? Just wondering which side got replaced.
