LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of wiring. It will physically fit thats about it. You will need alot of work to make it fully functional.
People arnt game enough to change their normal one in a VK to it due to the wiring, and a VL will be alot harder because of the RB30 and different box.

The question is, why? They're known for having a lot of problems, not to mention they're ugly :P Stick with a VL Dash

    sorry to hijack the thread

I have a spare VZ instrument cluster heater/air cond controls sitting in my cubard doing nothing so i thought i'd puttem to good use .

I'm thinking of making a custom dash and center console or something for my white VL coz it'l be off the road until jan next year and i want to install or attempt to install a VZ instrument cluster & the heater/air cond controls into the beast .

But a mate of mine said that i'd need a moddified VY/VZ BCM to make the gauges work , can anyone confirm this ?

yeah it's probobaly a realy dumb idea but it helps kill the bordem as i can't do much to the car until i get it registed . Plus it would look good if it's done right . Cheers

The VL has a few extra bits of sheet metal spot welded on top of the original piece which normally holds the dash.....and it uses totally different mounting points, like for screws and stuff. Not a huge problem tho, I got a VL dash in my VK and it can still be mounted pretty easy......you'd just have to drill out all the spot welds holding the extra few bits on, so u can remove them.

VK electronic dash displays were very unreliable and failed often and couldnt be repaired, a replacement one cost a fortune
they were quietly abandoned on the next model
