Hey guys/girls.
Just re-editing my post as i solved a couple of problems.
Now i'm having problems with my battery, brand new battery, is holding it's charge, dizzy and everything else is ok.
But something is draining the power source when im parked, as ill get back to the car and go to start it and the battery sounds like it's almost flat.
and at times it sounds like the immobilizer is still active because when i go to start it, nothing happens, no clicking or indication of a flat battery. Just nothing what so ever as i turn the key.
any ideas? if you want to know any more information just ask![]()

the battery may be faulty, make sure the underneath of the bonnet isnt touching the terminals when shut and that the terminals arent connected the wrong way round
both terminals and clamps need to be clean and tight
i've got the same problem with my VL. I don't drive it much, and if i leave the battery connected and leave it for longer than a week without starting, the battery will only just be enough to start it (if im lucky). so i just leave it disconnected when i park it up. a bit of a hassle but hey it works. but if anyone could tell me as to what would be draining it please let me know?
can't be the exterior or interior lights as they are all off, im guessing maybe a short some where?
boot light staying on?
i'll double check but im pretty sure it doesnt even work.same goes for the glovebox light. thanks for that though
the regulator on your alternator could be rooted, allowing it to charge enough to keep the charge light off, but not to fully charge the battery. this was happening to me.
This is good site to watch.I found it informative as I have been researching a lot lately on such matters such as you talk about.
have you checked the battery fluid levels? top up with distilled water or water from your kettle.
Nobody wants to play with me
Just to update this thread if anyone was having the same problem. I tested the battery and that was the source of the problem. A new heavy duty battery later everything was fine. Or so i thought, it was a mix of a block in one of my injectors and a dude battery (found this out after the handy link for testing the comp) cheers guys. So this should help anyone who is having the same problem.
