Vl 5 Speed Conversion

on the weekend i converted my vl from auto to manual, but i have ran into some issues

Firstly, starting the enigne which i managed to work out what wires to bridge in which i was successful at.

Second problem is i have to put it in gear before i start the engine to move the car due to the clutch or another problem, i cant get it into gear with the engine started, im guessing this is a clutch issue, i have bled them quite a few times with the help of a partner and all have failed

i have no idea genrally on the gearbox side but atm im putting mine back in and a new clutch on (having drink break now)

did you fit the clutch the right way around? its not sat on backwards or something stupid like that
was the fork which moves the thurst bearing etc connected properly and clipped on?
