Default Can't get steering wheel off

I know this might sound stupid but I can't manage to get my steering wheel off it's mount. I have taken the horn plate off, as well as the main steering shaft nut, but the wheel won't budge. Is it attached somewhere else?

My car is an 88 VL Executive commodore.

    See photos attached.

mate save your teeth and get a steering wheel puller. It'll make the job 100 times easier and save smashing things.

OR put the nut back on a couple of turns and put your arms and knees into it. the nut will stop it smashing your face when it lets go or breaks.

They are tight... although mine worked its way loose just driving....
    Get a puller.

How much will a puller cost? And where can I get one?

    Autobarn or supercheap?

pfft puller, they come off fairly easily, just as said above leave the nut on a few turns and yank like crazy.

$9 at Supercheap, and youll need a spanner to work it.

Even if you put the nut on the shaft to stop the wheel coming off and hitting you in the face, you risk damage to the wheel and or steering column right down to the steering rack by belting it/pulling on it.....do appreciate these components are designed to fall apart with minimal force.

Thanks for your advice guys.. I was expecting one to cost a lot more than that... Guess I'm off to supercheap tomorrow...

I will post photos of the end result if anyone's interested...

Do not yank like crazy and certainly don't use a hammer or anything on it. You might find the ignition lock or blinkers decide not to work properly anymore. It is a fragile system to a degree - it is designed to collapse in an accident to undue force will move things around.
