Basically for a CD player to work it just needs 3 things. Power, Earth and Back-up (keeps the CD memory so when the car turns on it will be at the same spot when u stopped). Most times cause im lazy i will just wire up the back-up right to the main power supply and just deal with having to select the song every time i start the car.

With just these the CD player will turn on and work, then you just wire up the speakers. Now i find it ALOT easier to just send new wires for the new speakers. Follow the instructions on what wire powers what speaker (so u can EQ the speakers) and then just get twitching. I like to remove the back seats (since it takes like 5 mins to remove) so i can hide all of the wires for the rear speakers.

Basically follow the instructions that comes with the CD player and take ur time. Once u know what is the main power supply and earth (u can even just run ur own earth under the bonnet if u want) with the back-up you can then start playing with the speakers.

    Good luck mate!
