    Default green jack handle

if you still have the original jack, look at the jack handle which on mine was painted green, very easy to lose if changing a flat at the side of the road, I painted mine bright yellow

many years ago I had a rover and all the tools for changing a flat tyre were bright yellow, to make them less likely to be lost or forgotten about, often we get hot and bothered when having to change a flat at the roadside

the standard VL jack isnt bad but dont jack up on a sideways slope or the car can lean over, jamming top of jack against car so its stuck and another jack is needed to free it up

needless to mention, never get partly under if car is only supported by the jack your death may be fast or slow

holden scissor jacks are good, when you use the old one post side jack they had in early commies you will think a scissor jack is good ha

Ive had the Holden jacks strip the thread and just fall. Luckily the car wasnt high enough and i still had the wheels on.

Get a trolley jack for the shed and a smaller trolley jack for the boot. Just so u can change a tire cause those Holden ones can be dangerous.

Your talking about the early jacks I guess? The scissor jacks are tough as. I've had huge weight on them before no problems. They just take alot of power to wind up with some weight on them, that's the only problem

when used CORRECTLY the jacks are effective for emergency tyre changing not really recommended for much else though and they must be on a flat level surface.

As soon as i buy a car, the first thing i do is throw the scissor jack in the bin. If i knew you liked them so much i would've sold them to you haha

My jack is currently painted rust.

Had the car fall off the suicide jack once. The jack collapsed and the car smacked into the bin...made a dent in the panel, luckily i wasnt under it at the time.
