need a new VL power window mechanism...can anyone help!

hey, i just got an '86 VL calais and iv been working on it a bit. the major problem i am having with it is that one of the arms that move the drivers side power window has snapped. i have taken it to a mechanic and the told me that the easiest way to fix it is to replace the whole mechanism. Holden no longer stock that part but i was told that i might be able to find one at the wreckers. does anyone know where i can find one near Brisbane? or if there is in fact an easier way to fix it?

good luck with that....lol....ive been loooking for a rear one for a while now i have 2 spair front ones but for the cost of them i might hold on to them. try ebay there are some on there from time to time

since that window is used the most, one from a wrecker, unless obviously a replacement, would probably be about to fail

have you tried rere spares?
